FAQ
How much does it cost to resize my ring?
Firstly, are you getting a bigger or smaller ring size? Generally speaking, resizing your ring to a larger size will cost extra since we will be expanding the band by adding expensive metals like gold, silver, or platinum. The cost of resizing a thicker ring will increase as more precious metal is added. What kind of material is your ring made of, secondly? Compared to gold and silver rings, platinum rings are typically more labor-intensive to make because of its harder surface and higher melting point. Resizing a platinum ring will therefore incur additional costs. To keep their appearance after resizing, certain rings will also need to be plated in gold or rhodium, which will impose an additional expense. Subsequently, are there any side stones or jewels on your ring? It will be more challenging to resize rings with heat-sensitive stones since we must take extra care to protect your priceless gemstones from harm while we adjust them. Don't worry, though; our skilled artisans will take good care of your rings; just give them some time. Side stone rings should also be carefully inspected after resizing because the stones may come free in the process. As a result, resizing a simple band will typically be more expensive than resizing a ring with jewels. Lastly, are there any distinctive designs on your ring? In addition to being more expensive, rings with intricate designs—such as milgrain, filigree, etc.—are also harder to resize. Be aware that resizing may change the appearance of certain rings with intricate designs.
